Kingston Minor Football League Joins the Ontario Sport Network's National Sport Trust Fund Program

Kingston Minor Football League is proud to announce that we have officially been accepted into the Ontario Sport Network's National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF-Ontario) program.

While that may sound like an administrative milestone, it represents something much bigger for our league and our community.

As a volunteer-run not-for-profit organization, every registration, sponsorship, fundraiser and volunteer hour helps make football more accessible for local families. Through our acceptance into the National Sport Trust Fund program, we're now able to offer individuals and businesses another meaningful way to invest in the future of youth football in Kingston.

The National Sport Trust Fund is administered in Ontario by the Ontario Sport Network on behalf of the Canadian Council of Provincial & Territorial Sport Federations. It allows approved amateur sport organizations to raise funds for specific projects while providing official charitable tax receipts for qualifying donations.

Our first approved initiative is the KMFL Equipment Accessibility Campaign.

Earlier this year, the league invested in 150 brand-new sets of helmets, shoulder pads and football equipment to support the continued growth of youth football in Kingston. This campaign will help us build on that investment while reducing financial barriers for families and ensuring every athlete has access to safe, modern equipment.

Football should be an opportunity that's available to every child who wants to play. Every dollar raised through this campaign helps us continue working toward that goal.

Starting August 4, our Equipment Accessibility Campaign will officially be open for donations through the Ontario Sport Network. If you've ever wanted to invest in the future of youth football in Kingston, this is another way to help. Qualifying donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt in accordance with CRA guidelines, and every contribution supports making football more accessible for local families.

How to Support the Campaign

Beginning August 4, donations can be made through our official Ontario Sport Network project page:

Support the KMFL Accessibility Campaign

Whether you're an individual, family or local business, every qualifying donation helps create more opportunities for young athletes while supporting the long-term sustainability of our league.

If you're considering joining KMFL this season, we hope this milestone gives you confidence in the future we're building together. It reflects our commitment to continually strengthening our league, creating new opportunities for our athletes, and ensuring football remains accessible for Kingston families for years to come.

Kingston Minor Football League has always been built by people who believe in young athletes.

Today, we're grateful to have another way for our community to stand behind them.

Thank you to everyone who continues to help make football accessible for the next generation.
