Why We Fundraise

At Kingston Minor Football League, everything we do starts with one goal: creating a safe, positive, and meaningful football experience for every athlete who puts on a KMFL jersey. As a community-based, not-for-profit organization, fundraising allows us to keep participation accessible for families while maintaining high standards for safety, coaching, and athlete development. In accordance with our policies and bylaws, all funds raised are reinvested directly back into league operations — supporting equipment, education, and programming that prioritizes long-term athlete development, inclusion, and enjoyment of the game. Your support helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and feel confident on and off the field.

Where Your Dollars Go

Every dollar raised has a direct and meaningful impact on our athletes and programs:

Equipment & Safety
Replacement and upgrading of helmets, shoulder pads, practice equipment, and safety gear to meet national standards and protect our athletes.

Coach Education & Training
Supporting required certifications, safe-contact training, and ongoing coach development so athletes learn from knowledgeable, accountable leaders.

Athlete Development
Age-appropriate programming focused on skill progression, confidence-building, and enjoyment of the game.

Program Operations
Field rentals, officials, and administrative costs that allow programs to operate responsibly and sustainably.

Accessibility & Affordability
Helping keep registration fees manageable for families while delivering high-quality, development-focused programming.

COMMUNITY SPIRIT GAMING CENTRE

A Community Built by Volunteers

Kingston Minor Football League is proud to be a participating organization with Community Spirit Gaming Centre and the Community Spirit Gaming Association.

Through this partnership, KMFL volunteers dedicate their time throughout the year by working charitable gaming shifts at Community Spirit Gaming Centre. These volunteer hours generate sustainable fundraising revenue that is reinvested directly into our league, helping support equipment purchases, athlete development opportunities, field rentals, and the overall operation of our programs. Community Spirit Gaming Association provides long-term fundraising opportunities for local charities and non-profit organizations through a volunteer-based charitable gaming model, allowing organizations like KMFL to raise funds while continuing to serve their communities.

What makes this partnership especially meaningful is that it reflects who we are as an organization.

Our coaches volunteer.

Our Board of Directors volunteers.

Our parents volunteer.

Our athletes volunteer.

And our supporters volunteer.

Every bingo shift worked, every fundraiser attended, and every hour donated represents people who believe in providing opportunities for local youth.

When businesses choose to support KMFL, they are joining an organization that is already investing significant volunteer time and effort into its own success. Sponsorship dollars don't replace hard work—they amplify it.

Together with our volunteers, community partners, and sponsors, we're building a stronger future for recreational youth football in Kingston.

BECOME A KMFL COMMUNITY PARTNER

At Kingston Minor Football League, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the life lessons that sport can provide. Our mission goes far beyond football. We're building confidence, leadership, teamwork, resilience, and community through a safe, affordable, and development-focused recreational football program for local youth.

As a not-for-profit organization, KMFL relies heavily on the support of volunteers, community partners, sponsors, and donors to keep football accessible for families throughout Kingston and the surrounding area. Behind every practice, game, clinic, and event are countless volunteer hours dedicated to fundraising, planning, coaching, administration, and community outreach.

From evening bingo shifts and community fundraising initiatives to coaches donating their time on the field, our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure local athletes have the opportunity to participate, grow, and succeed.

When you choose to support KMFL, you're doing more than sponsoring a football league.

You're investing in local kids.

You're supporting local families.

You're helping keep recreational sport affordable and accessible.

You're contributing to the development of future leaders, volunteers, coaches, tradespeople, business owners, and community builders.

Most importantly, you're helping create opportunities for young people to discover what they're capable of.

Our athletes aren't professional athletes. They're our kids.

Kingston Minor Football League is proud to partner with businesses, organizations, and community leaders who share our commitment to building stronger communities and creating positive opportunities for local youth.

Whether you're interested in a financial contribution, an in-kind donation, event sponsorship, equipment sponsorship, or exploring a custom partnership opportunity, we'd love to have a conversation.
